Stewart, A modern diesel car is not for you if you are doing so few miles.

Karen in Perth (AUZ) off TM had a shot and took some pic's....

Very nice! Strange dip at the rear end all the same that I'm not to sure about.

Mini as it was. As it is. As it always will be. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's up to you to decide if it counts!

Still worried about the roof. From the reports it appears it doesn't even have an interior lining, which means the cross bars will be visable inside when the roofs up, which is probably 75% of the driving time. No lining will also mean more wind noise. My first car.......a "silver cross"....was like that!!

I didn't have one on my 3 series coupe and it was never an issue. The rear screen isn't going to get all the crud up the back like a normal Mini does, so it shouldn't be a problem.

We don't have one on our 1 Series BMW convertible and you'd be surprised how much you DON'T miss it tbh. I guess the aerodynamics just help to prevent much rain falling on it once you get up to a decent speed.

Oh my good lord it is a lovely thing to behold. Can't wait to see it in the flesh and take one on the road to see how it handles and see if the wind noise is as bad as Malcolm (weefossy) predicts.
