I have the new xbox 360. There's no lag I've ever encountered and I have played people all over the world on the AVP forum. The original 360 basic didn't come with HDMI but that was soon fixed. All current models come with it and most older models do to. As Burple said the new 360 models come with wi-fi built in and the older models can be ethernet or use one of 2 adaptors that the 360 has on offer. You can also use a bridging router and connect that to your 360, that's what I did until I got my new one. Much cheaper than the 360 official one.

John is right, there is no reason to think that the same thing couldn't happen on the 360. Though I bet Microsoft have better security in place and have more financial backing to get it fixed a lot faster.

I'm easy either way as like Stoney I have both consoles. Just need to know which to get the game for.

Providing Sony get this sorted soon, I'll be sticking with the PS3 too. Never giving them my card details again though. Will just use PSN Credits bought from Game or Gamestation etc.

Had a very quick look at X-Box's today in tesco's and it looks like I'd need to spend £250 ish for a decent model.

You can get the 250GB for £189 from Amazon and Game. The 4GB model for £149. Either way I'll stick with a majority vote. There's no denying the PS3 is far better spec'd but the 360 runs better. If only they could combine the 2......

The 250Gb one is actually £149 in Game just now... Well i hope it still is, I'm off there at lunchtime! Tesco?? Pfff...

*edit* Just got a new one at lunchtime, GAME is back up to £199 and Gamestation about £185 for a console plus one game... theivin' gits..

So i went into Currys (of all places) and got a new slim 360 250Gb for £159 with Halo Reach. already ot the game.. so trade in here I come to get some cash back off it. happy enough with that

I know. You can hook up an external drive.

Only reason I needed more space than 20gb was that I downloaded a lot of games and movies on live. If it were just game updates etc it'd be a fraction of 20gb.

Have you seen that some video game stores have stopped buying in PS3's as people are selling them to get a 360!!! Pity there wasn't a way you could setup a private network over the internet with the PS3's. Is that even possible?
