Stop that misbehaviour right now!
Settle down people...:thud: It's only a general off the cuff remark which is meant to be taken as "fun". It wasn't directed at any particular person and as such isn't offensive....
Most convertibles (not all) have been referred To in the past as "hairdressers" cars and this is just banter. ;). As far as I know, cars which no-one actually owns don't have feelings :yes nod:
Here what's up with hairdressers :D
sent from my galaxy S ll
Hee hee sorry could not resist
As a registered 'Follically Challenged Person', I wish to make an Official Complaint under Chapter 7, Section 15b, Subsection 18c of the International Statute of Human Rights, about persistent references to 'Hairdressers'. I consider this to be a direct infringement of my fundamental Human Rights and will bring down the full weight of International Law or any person(s) and/or organisations who persist in the undermining of a significant minority group.
Of course, it means, unlike you coiffured reprobates, I could drive the t*ts off a JCW Roadster and not disturb my slipstreamed bonce! :motoring: :phew:

No, but one of them's got a job as a MINI Sales Manager, telling folk that the Factory JCW doesn't pop or bang....
Joanna - My Banana (that rhymes, but sounds quite worrying) just told me most Vegetables are to shy to speak, apart from Courgettes, who are right mouthy b*st*rds.... apparently.
Aren't all Mini's hairdressers cars...........?
This has sprouted wings, vegetables and all sorts!
My first comment was just saying I thought the JCW Roadster will be a riot with the hood down, not that its better than any of the other models.
In honest truth if it was my money on the table the SD would still be my choice of car for me coming from a Cooper. It's bit more in the power department and looks ( inferiority complex I’ve always wanted two exhausts) gets silly miles to the gallon and cheap to tax.
If I was taken to Mini and said here pick a car for nothing everyone and there gran is going to get the JCW as it’s the top of the line, well most of the time! :D
Well done Stewart for getting this thread back on topic!
Does the diesel have a DPF (Diesel Particle Filter) ? Only reason I ask is because I'm having problems with my Kia. It's down to the car only doing short journeys and the engine not heating up enough to burn off the particulates .... :argh: I'm now getting 29mpg with it due to the DPF being clogged.
Got the stuff to put in the tank to help but I've also got to get the car up to working temp then drive it at 3000rpm for about 50 miles to "rejuvenate" the DPF :thud:
See that’s a worry with me and an SD over my Petrol Coop. Brimmed the tank today and I’m getting only 34 MPG as its silly short trips I’m doing and have been doing for the last few months. One week there I did six miles and I can’t remember when I was last at the pump, I think it was between Xmas and the new year.
Someone said if I did that with the D I’d kill it, I’m right in thinking until its running hot it’s a really dirty fuel?
When I was looking into a diesel A1 the dpf was a hot topic on the forum. If you do short journeys it gets clogged. Lots of people were reporting mpg of less than 45 or 50 when the official was 74!
Unless you are doing more than 15k per year, with the high purchase price of the cars and the fuel they will not save you any money.
Stewart, A modern diesel car is not for you if you are doing so few miles.
Karen in Perth (AUZ) off TM had a shot and took some pic's....:camera:

Very nice! Strange dip at the rear end all the same that I'm not to sure about.
Ooft!! It's a yes from me !! :yes nod:
yeah I want one.
Still worried about the roof. From the reports it appears it doesn't even have an interior lining, which means the cross bars will be visable inside when the roofs up, which is probably 75% of the driving time. No lining will also mean more wind noise. My first car.......a "silver cross"....was like that!!
sadly I don't think I could live without a rear wiper
 good point!
Oh my good lord it is a lovely thing to behold. Can't wait to see it in the flesh and take one on the road to see how it handles and see if the wind noise is as bad as Malcolm (weefossy) predicts.
