    My brother's old Westie was a 2.0 Ford engine and it went like a train and sounded the mutts nuts, so that would be a crazy thing indeed!

    Loads of stuff like it on Pistonheads web forums, keep looking at the MKII Golf GTi's with a longing....

    I've got a Westie. Here you go: 7 years old covered a few hundred miles do about 20bhp at the rear do a 1/4 mile in about oh 1min

    I once drove it in the wet - not fun!

    It was nearly impossible to get in with the roof (?) on. I'd hardly call it practical, no boot and to be honest, you were better just getting wet than putting up with the roof. A lot of poppers!

    VX220 is a more practical car, but only just!
