    Hi all.

Not posted on here in a long time. Had a flat and went to check the pressures. Noticed that my alloy wheels have weird plates on the inside of them. Drivers side has 3 per alloy and the passengers side has one per alloy. Any idea if this is normal for JCW wheels and if so what are they? Pic attached.

    Thanks, G.

Yeah, perfectly normal. These are weights that get stuck on when the wheels are balanced after fitting. It means the wheels are perfectly balanced so you don’t get any vibrations when driving.

At least they’ve used ones that don’t go rusty!

    Thanks Matsarm.

Was worried they were repairs to crack or something, ha ha. Only got the car a couple of weeks ago so am still finding things on it. At least I can relax now about this. Thanks again

As Matt has said perfectly normal. Just wheel weights from when the wheel has been balanced.

    Good to see you back

Thanks. Yeah it's been a while. Went for a wee look round the forums and a few names I remember, lol.
