window won't work

    Hi, my drivers side front window has stopped working. Anyone know of common causes before I start digging!
    any help would be appreciated.
    The car is an 03 Cooper.

    First thing would be to check wiring and if any fuses cover o/s window ,then check to see if power is getting to o/s motor ,if power is getting to motor ......new motor ,anyone else got any ideas or common probs

    Ive just had to replace the near side window regulator in Karen's 57 plate Fiesta.

    Was told that it's a common problem as the cables start to wear/break over time.

    £148 lighter (independent garage) and the window works as new

    If you give the door card a good thud about 2" above the speaker then usually this gets the windows working again. Strange but true!

    +1. Mine has needed this on occasion, usually when cold, for years.
