I wasn't sure about the Clubvan - and felt you could just convert an older Clubby (which of course you could) but the more I think about it, a spanking new wee Van is quite appealing.
If only I could figure out what to do with it! Dohhhhhh! Wish I could 'magic' my running gear into it though...

2008 R56 COOPER S, Pepper White, Black Roof, 'John Cooper' Signature Side and Bonnet Stripes, JCW 'Stage 1' Tuning Kit, Forge Intercooler, Milltek Downpipe & Sports Cat, ALTA Induction, Chris Knox/DNA Remap, JCW/Brembo Brakes, Limited Slip Diff, JCW Suspension and Front Strut Brace, 17" Crown Spokes with Non-Runflat 205/45x17 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, JCW/Recaro leather Seats, JCW Sideskirts, Chili Pack, Front Spotlights. Still got my old Hendrix Badge blu-tacked to the dash!

No problem Ian - a few nice cushions and a throw-rug would do the job!
Oh dear, I appear to have turned into a elderly spinster from a small village on the outskirts of Glasgow... Must go, the Whist Drive's tonight and I promised I'd do my Cream Buns

I was mucking around on the MINI Configurator the other day, and noticed that there was a wee note saying that the Clubvan prices didn't include VAT... I take it this is some sort of Business Use incentive?

Just for fun (not selling my motor!), I had specced a lovely Cooper Van to around £16K, which seemed like a decent deal for an interesting, practical and fun motor, but if the VAT has to go on top of that, it blows it right out of the water, and you'd be better off with a Clubbie. Can someone clever clarify the Private Owner/Business price thing?

New car prices include VAT, those for commercial vehicles don't....

so is the clubvan a commercial vehicle? or do you have to have a registered business to have a commercial vehicle?

Only away from reality! I suppose I could just nail a pair of old 'Green Flash' to the 'ClubDoor'... Anyway, you KNOW what I meant, Little Ms. Clever

That's what I was wondering - if you're 'not a business' and just fancy a Clubvan, it makes it well-pricey if you go for a decent spec...

Most people who would buy a van are VAT-registered (companies, self-employed people). So they can claim the VAT back on things they buy for the business. Therefore, any van is VAT deductable for these people

Feet were made to fit car pedals. If we were meant to walk, we'd have pogo sticks for legs
