That doesn't sound too bad - I phoned them for a quote to rebrush a badly scratched Rolex bracelet and they wanted £80

5 minutes with a green Scotchbrite from Tesco (99p for 5)

    and it looked like this....

Mini as it was. As it is. As it always will be. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it's up to you to decide if it counts!

If you have highly polished areas to do (unlikely on a Tag, but....) then the best product is Cape Cod cloth, it's amazing the depth of scratches you can polish out with it.

Well just home from purchasing my first ever decent watch (or what I would class as decent).

Really wanted a Breitling Navitimer and wish I had bought it 6 months ago when I was thinking about it as its gone up in price by over £1000. As a result of that and the mental service costs I have come away with my 2nd choice but Im still very happy with it.

    Will get up pics tomorrow.

Thats a beautiful RW Ian. Good purchase. I really fancy one myself, but just can't justify the expense at the mo.

Breitlings are never a good buy new, last one I got offered a few years back (by a Rolex dealer that had taken it in p/x) had cost it's premier league footballer owner the guts of £4k 6 months previously and was being retailed for £1500.....

My own more modest SuperOcean Colt cost me just over a grand (again many years ago), I was offered £125 as a trade-in on a £3k Rolex by the dealer I bought it from at 9 months old

Never tried there. The dollar prices listed on that site are pretty much what we are paying in sterling on the high street.
Im happy enough with my purchase so Im going to stop looking at watches on the net now.

Taken some pics of my new watch.
Im no photographer and have a pants camera but it lets you see it anyway.

The box is really smart. I will keep the box in a safe place.

That's a bit more tasteful than most Breitlings, Ian
