Eventually got round to do the PS3 update, got an e-mail to change my password, went to the Sony web page and the server is down - deep joy.
Been on it all night, it's working fine

Well, tonight hit a new low for me and the PS3 network.
I know i keep complaining about it, but, it's an absolute disgrace that given the recent hacking of their system Sony did not address the obvious lag issues that blight the online play.
Getting annihilated in every game it's very frustrating knowing that i'm not that bad, so, decided to bail out of tonight's session, I really like the banter etc with the NMS folks, but, i hooked up the Xbox and the new cable that connects the Turtle Beach headset and had a few games.
Trust me, this was instantly far better game play.
So, for me from now on it's very likely i'll be on the Xbox
Oh, should have mentioned, i also downloaded the new map pack
i may well have to get a copy for the x-box and see what its like im shure i could get used to it but do like the banter of the NMS crew
