How to Remove R56 Mirror Caps?

    As above how easy is it to remove the mirror caps?

    Dead easy. I used the same method every time William. I used a butter knife. Inserted at the bottom of the cap and prise off. I have heard that some have broken clips but they have always come off no problem when I have done them that way.

    I don't know if it's different to the R50 / R53, but to remove them without breaking clips, you push the mirror glass in in the corner nearest the car and the glass will pop out. You then have access to all the clips and pop one off at a time.

    Be ready to catch the mirror glass! Otherwise it will end up mire expensive than breaking clips on the covers.

    I broke one of my mirror glasses pulling it off. Best to just do as GCA3N suggested.

    I've just checked the forum I think I got this method from and it does warn that gen 2s might break. PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS METHOD
