S Gearbox

    Correct me if i'm wrong but does a cooper s gearbox have six gears?

    I was toying with the idea of trying to source one for my cooper.
    And another thing, Will the s gearbox fit straight onto my engine or would i have to change clutch,flywheel etc?

    Cooper S does have 6 gears.
    Not sure, but, i think the bell housing needs changed or at least some modification, best get more advice before taking mine.

    Speak to Costal or 1320 MINI as I know they have done a few each. Others have done it themselves, though I can't remember seeing a "how to"
