Engine management light

    This morning, pouring with rain and heaps of water on the road. Accelerating slowly out of one of the deeper puddles(more like bloody rivers!) my car jerked as if traction control kicked in, which it did, engine management light also came on along with EGR light(one above EML)

    Car sounded like a bag of bolts and i stopped n switched off immediately. Turned back on and EGR light still on.
    Exact same thing happend about 4 miles later, again EGR light still on.

    Anyone had this happen before or have an idea of whats happend?
    And no i didnt tank through the rivers of the road lol
