cheers guys. Friday testing was ok. Struggled a bit as i had old tyres on. I qualifyed 6th managed to out qualify the last round winner which im quite pleased about. Just a bit frustrating when all the guys in front of me are firing on a new set of slicks just about everytime the car goes out. I have 4 for the weekend :( race 1 is at 4pm

    not long back from Croft,

i had a really good weekend considering the tight budget that I was on to do it.

race 1, started 6th and finished 5th behind Oly

race 2 started 5th and finished 4th after i dropped back at the start

race 3 i started 3rd and got fired at the first corner which made me have contact with another competitor knocking my tracking out, the straight position on the wheel was around 2 oclock position, not good! held 4th or 5th for a few laps before a tap at the hairpin from oly caused me to go wide and he understeered straight into the side of me which send me on the grass losing further places, the following lap i got passed the guy in 6th who decided to drive into the side of me knocking the rear tracking out and putting a ding in the rear quarter.

I had a great time down there, i thought i did ok in a car that wasnt the most competitve in a straight line and the fact i didnt have an open cheque book to throw tyres at the car everytime it went on track.

to give a comparison on how much some of the teams are spending,

4 new slicks were included in my deal but i bought a further 2 so i spent £346 on tyres

a wee birdy told me that olys team spent around £7.5k between their 3 drivers

    just cant compete with that

thanks to Hamish and the rest of the SMCC drivers that came down, was nice to see some familiar faces down there

Yup well done Chris It was a shame about race 3 but you have to be happy with what you did considering what others are spending.

I was glad to get out in my car last night at a Sponsors event I managed 2 hours with no driveshaft issues. Thanks to Craig Noble and Derek Thirlwall of SP Cars for getting Sharon back nice and straight again.
