Crappy MPG, any ideas?

My 52 plate Cooper seems to be getting rubbish MPG.

According to the computer, I only got a average of 34.8 mpg on a recent m'way run from Glasgow to Blackpool and back.

I was sitting at a average of 80mph, tyres were all inflated to 31psi and it had a INSP 2 service only 4k ago, the car was 4 up and the air con was on.

I did the exact same trip last year in my dads A8 3.7 and it got 28mpg, any ideas?

tbh, your MPG is pretty much what I always got on my Coop's that I had.... With 4 up and air con on, I think you did ok. I used to get on average 32mpg from my Cooper's

Sounds good to me, don't honestly think you'd get better than that

At those speeds, a full car and air con that sounds about right. I average 27mpg in my S.

Are you on run flats, I run 17" run flats but have 36psi on the rear and 34psi on the front.

WOW all women are the same. I get this every time I am in the car, I open the window and both my wife and daughter comment "SHUT THE WINDOW DAD"
