It will only tell you the car type, age, engine size and number of previous owners. You can do it free from the rac site. Click on vehicle check.

It doesnt get updated for personalised plates very regularly - we found that a while ago with the like of AndyP's and Fionas cars.

It worked with my private plate and its only been changed for 3 weeks.
it could be ehk but they might have put on a private plate.
