Planning to get one fitted once then car arrives. So two questions:
    Are they worth it?
And if you bought one did you get a liftime or an annual subscription?

    Cheers!

I got one, more for peace of mind, only took the annual subscription but will take it out for life at the renewal stage.

Pretty much made my mind up that I would, just wanted to make sure there were no horror stories attached to it! Cheers.

Be aware that there are different types.
The normal AA tracker relies upon a police car with the relevant equipment on board being within 10 miles to track it. We have just had a friend lose a car because the police didn't have a driver for that car available at the time!
RAC trackstar is tracked by GPS so it is tracked till the police can respond
Another thing to point out is that a new insurance standard for tracking systems will be launched in 2004 and I am told none of the current systems will comply
