got a problem with my jcw handbrake

    anyone got one.?? supplied by JCW garages old grip is off ok but seems to be something missing from inside the new grip

    there is nothing to click it into place just twirls round. Anyone any ideas but I will phone johncooper garages tomorrow.

    Yeah but remember Angus' one isn't a genuine JCW one.

    probelm solved well kinda anyway.

    The JCW handbrake grip is not a direct replacement and therefore it requires to be built up in some way before the grip will stay in place.

    I was surprised when johncooper garages told me that this morning :(

    you would have thought it would be a direct replacement fit.

    ours has plastic inside but nothing extra just all smooth nothing with wee sticky out bits that would click the grip into position like the OEM one that it replaces. According to JC garages thats the way it should be h'mm very strange but then the workshops guys were not happy that we were supplied the stuff direct said we shouldn't have been. So don't know if they are playing funny buggers.
