So, what is it that you do? You are 'offshore' a lot!
Oops, sorry try Sedco 704, it's owned by Transocean, on contract to ChevronTexaco, it's a drilling semi submersible, commonly referred to as a floater (no sarky comments either )quote:Originally posted by Fontal

In simple terms i am in charge of a varied amount of service personnel and their equipment, i ensure that they provide the correct equipment to ensure we get the black gold (oil) out of the ground in a safe and environmental manner, thats the PC answer.quote:posted by travelingmcmahansSo, what is it that you do? Basically the drilling peeps make a hole and i fill it up with specialised bits that allow the oil to flow to surface in a controlled way. Of course it's a lot more technical than that  but if i only have 1 sentence to answer the question thats it :)
I've been away for a while this trip, day 19 today, but it will go a long way to pay for the bits that Julz cajoled me into buying

Aye, that's right, blame me!! You haven't been to helpful on my bank balance either!!:clown:quote:Originally posted by Bonnie Scotland
