An F1 car for the road with the drive of a Le Mans Prototype. That’s the promise from the first project of a new engineering consultancy –a 1,000bhp/tonne 2-seat sportscar, the Freestream T1.
Founders Ben Scott-Geddes and Graham Halsted, who worked on the McLaren F1 supercar project, are aiming high with the £150,000 road and track car; an all-in weight of 465kg, plus 480bhp from the 2.4-litre V8 F1-spec engine. Please click images below to enlarge
They want acceleration to 60mph in under 2.5 seconds, cornering capability of 3G and top-line safety from the "uncompromised" new model. Already a year in development, more details will be released later this year. The exciting new model is already being described by its developers as "a new benchmark for road cars".
