FOR THE 1/4 MILE WE NEED 40 CARS £40PER CAR.
BUT TRACK DAY IS A FIGER 8 1.2 MILES, 10 OR MORE £35PER CAR 1/2 DEPOST BEFORE HAND. SO WHAT DO YOU SAY'S FOR NEXT YEAR 2004.
Put us down for this as it sounds fun, but scary. Will work hard in the meantime to get Sioban's permission!!
Track day sounds most fun but is it is a timed run, one at a time? . I don't fancy us running into each other!
There have been many track days down south posted on MINI2, so far so good, no accidents and many good reports, at the end of the day everyone is there for a bit of fun.
I'm keen on this and we should support people who are prepared to organise somehting, if everyone drives within themselves i'm sure we'll have a great time.

Count me in Seany, would certainly be up for a bit of 'controlled' track day fun.
I wonder if Linda will let me borrow her MINI? :clown:
Occasional MINI driver....... but mostly Uma Thurman ;0)
thanks bonnie nice words, willie i dont think linda will let you borrow hur mini.
What about insurance for track days, drag racing etc?
When I did motorsport in the 80's in my classic mini we used to pay about £10 to a company called "Boaring" (spelling right?) for insurance but I am pretty sure this was third party for damage we did to the surroundings (I had to claim for a farmers fence - oops!)
I fully support this idea and huge thanks to Seany for organising it.
Having seen it mentioned on MINI2 i'm sure it is dependant on location, some offer it as part of the day, others you have to provide it yourself.quote:Originally posted by macblob

With a wee bit of research i'm sure it will be resolved prior to the run taking part.
