rims in winter

    anyone know the best protection for chrome wheels during winter time?
    I know the best protection is to put on other rims during that period..., but that's not what i mean off course....

    How often do you use the car in winter - if it's every day then i'd say buy a cheap set of wheels.(If only someone was selling a set-ahem:I)

    Failing that - give them a good clean, remove all tar spots etc then treat them to a couple of coats of wax.

    After this avoid cleaning them with wheel cleaner like Hot Rims/Wonder Wheels as this will dissolve the wax protection and re-apply the wax every month if possible.
