They are good, stops people from looking inside your car when its parked anywhere dodgy, also, it stops bright lights from headlights and fogs.
My insurance didn't increase my premium

What grade of tint did you go for:question:
Mine are 35%, which is legally as dark as you can go! The local traffic polis have sensors which clip over your windae and senses how dark they are, if they're too dark, they can make you remove the film there and then:mad:

Just out of interest, is the standard car's tinted glass any stronger than a "normal" car? It seems so. What % is the standard tint?
Mine are 35%(ish) too...

It also helps make the windows more resistant to being broken into, as the glass stays attached to the film rather than completely shattering in....
Make sure it's done properly by a reputable company!
ie... Tint Haus, Pentagon etc...
