I've been thinking about getting my windows tinted, but have been getting mixed messages from my insurance company and tinting company.

What are your experiences:question: Any advice:question:

They are good, stops people from looking inside your car when its parked anywhere dodgy, also, it stops bright lights from headlights and fogs.

Mine are 35%, which is legally as dark as you can go! The local traffic polis have sensors which clip over your windae and senses how dark they are, if they're too dark, they can make you remove the film there and then:mad:

Just out of interest, is the standard car's tinted glass any stronger than a "normal" car? It seems so. What % is the standard tint?

    Mine are 35%(ish) too...
Done by Tint Haus (Edinburgh based)
It also helps make the windows more resistant to being broken into, as the glass stays attached to the film rather than completely shattering in....

Make sure it's done properly by a reputable company!
    ie... Tint Haus, Pentagon etc...
