    Hey Smurf

John and I were at the 2nd half of the Morellie Ice Cream Italian Job Run in Portrush, Northern Ireland on Sunday as John was racing in Kirkistown Track on Friday and Saturday.

We stopped by your car a few times to catch up but you were no where to be found - your Mini's looking great!

We were parked in Class 17 - New Mini - in the race car which got laods of attention but strangly no prizes for best in class - totally fixed (but maybe all the bumps and scrapes from weekend racing didnt help!)...if Winnie had been there she'd have won - no contest!

    Maybe meet you next time?!

    Cheers
    Nenah

    Well hello !!

I saw the racing MINI in class 17 on Sunday, but just didn't connect it with anyone from NMS! Sorry I missed you guys, would have been good to meet you. How did John get on in the race?

Thanks for the compliments for wee Smurfy! :I

I was there with other members of The Mini Clan, so was parked with them on the Club stand, rather than in Class 17. We parked up on the Sunday, then went for lunch. This also involved the Dodgems!! :clown:

Thanks for posting the photo Heather! :I To be fair to the winners on Sunday, I actually got my prize for the Saturday night run, there were a few cars which "caught Nelly's eye" and Smurfy was one of them! (And she wasn't all that clean either!!! We'd been on the beach........) :clown:

You should go to the whole weekend, the Saturday night run is an absolute blast!! My face is still aching from laughing so much. To cut a long story short, the Minis are supposed to be escorting the new Morelli's Ice Cream flavour to it's destination, but there are ambushes and hi-jinks all along the way!! This year we were attacked by Leprechaun Commandos! However, the Clan fought back..... Super Soakers. They weren't expecting that!

The Sunday run was a laugh too - squeezing a fat MINI over all those tiny streets and bridges.... Cool though.

It's one of the best weekends I've spent in a LONG time, a huge amount of fun. We might go back next year - perhaps NMS could go too? The Irish are VERY welcoming to new MINIs!

    Cheers for now,
    Vaila

We wanted to go on the Saturday night run but by the time we got there it would have been too late(I was there the past two years so know what I was missing:mad: )

As for the racing I had a fantastic time but sadly did not do very well,it was certainly action packed and my car has a few mor ents & scrapes too.

Did anyone on here have a pepper white cooper with black vipers? Seen it coming off the boat at Troon on Tuesday evening - well smart :).

If it had a strange looking (but NICE!!!) Aero-kit on it too, it's Neil's (won't say his surname on here!) - and he's a member of the Mini Clan too. It's the only one I can think of which was involved at the weekend, although it could just have been someone on their holls!!

It is a really cracking mowta.

Sounds like him then. It was quite a bit in front (one of my friends noticed it first) but yes, it did have a different bodykit than normal.
