"chat" to someone on my local network?

I have 3 computers networked together, is there any software available that will allow me to communicate to each PC without logging onto the internet?? ie not using windows messanger etc

    Thanks in advance

There used to be a program in Windows called "winpopup" dunno if its still there or not where you could send a message.

If you know visual basic or know someone who can program in it they could make you something to do it.

or go to www.tucows.com i found this http://www.tucows.com/preview/297179.html by just searching, its free for 30 days and will probably be like winzip... if that doesnt work there might be somethin on there that might help...

    hope this helps some how...
