I would have thought that warranties, whether 3 year or 5 year are offered as a 'selling point'. There is no requirement for a manufacturer to offer anything other than the statutory rights required by consumer legislation. I can't understand why, if a manufacturer was to include such a benefit, they would then keep it secret.:question:
Statutory in Europe for cars is a 2 year manufacturer's warranty. Most makers MINI included) offer a 3rd dealer network backed warranty.
