I was saddened to read about the death of the Scottish musician Martyn Bennett at the age of only 33. Perhaps many of you will remember him from the soundtrack to a couple of Calum's movies of our NMS MINI runs.

An obituary of Martyn is here.

Och, no way!!!:( I've downloaded quite a few of his tunes, and agree with you 3GGG that Calum has indeed chosen well for some of the NMS 'movie soundtracks'. Another gifted soul has left us!

I think I speak for us all when I say that our thoughts are with Martyn's family. He was a great guy and truly gifted when it came to musical ability. One of the best gigs I ever attended was when Martyn and Kirsten played the Liquid Rooms during the Fringe in 2000. Everytime I hear the Dallas theme tune I smile.

Absolutely gutted by this news :( I hadn't heard, util I read David's post. What a sad loss, and at such a young age.
