Anyone know the best place to go for new runflats for my 16 inch rims in the edinburgh area?

Have you had a quote from your dealer. You'd be surprised how much chaeper thay are than the tyre specialists like Kwik-fit etc. I was on my way to Dunedin to get 2 slow punctures repaired when I met you the other day. If the tyre was beyond repair they quoted me £102 for a 17" runflat compared to National who quoted £180!!!!!! Thankfullt both were repairable for the princly sum of £15 each!

There part dept quoted me £87 quid and some pennies for a 16inch runflat supplied and fitted

so looks like ill just be getting them to do the tyre when the car is in getting serviced.

I take it that was the price for Goodyears?
Did they give you a price for Dunlops by any chance?

Also interested in the 16" Dunlop SP runflat prices here. Aren't Dunlop and Goodyear the same company nowadays? - though I read on MINI2 that Dunlop runflats can be repaired but Goodyears say they should not be repaired if punctured?

Aye that price was for the goodyears, im afraid i have no idea about the dunlops.

Are they meant to be a better tyre, grip , wear etc?

I had my Dunlop repaired, at Hi-Q, (3 Nails removed, ouch) but I don't think they had a clue if there is advice on repairing runflats.
My One came with the Dunlops fitted as standard, so i'd just keep with them.

You might very well be right Julz - I was just suprised to read somewhere that two of the big tyre companies were the same company.

I have the Dunlop runflats so must check out what they cost.
