Hi folks, we're planning another castle run - this time to Bamburgh Castle - on Sunday the 19th March.

The plan is to meet at Eskbank Park and Ride before taking in some brilliant roads and breath-taking scenery en route to Bamburgh Castle. Our aim is to arrive at Bamburgh for lunch time. Since our morning route there will be around 75 miles, we're planning to make the castle our official end point. Bamburgh Castle is rather spectacular and we suspect some folks might want to make the most of their visit. It also gives folks the freedom to take their preferred route home.

All going to plan, we'll make a short stop at The Potting Shed Restaurant TD11 3EL. Our run however is taking place on Mother's Day so it might be busy. If we're unable to stop we'll probably just push on to our end destination but there are facilities at this location should anyone require a stop.

For those visiting Bamburgh for the first time, there are plenty of cafes to choose from for lunch. There's also plenty of open ground and picnic benches should you wish to bring your own.

Parking at Bamburgh Castle is £5 for the first 3 hours with additional charges thereafter.

    Start Time: 10am for a 10:30 start
Start Location: Eskbank Park & Ride EH22 3FR

    Arrival Time: Approx. 1:20pm
Arrival Location: Links Road Car Park Long Stay, Bamburgh, NE69 7BJ

    Run Distance: 75 miles
