Hello Folks,
I recently bought a 2014 Mini Cooper Diesel F56 with a blown engine, it had supposedly sucked in a gulp of water. it did run of sorts but terribly rough anyhow I bought a really low mileage (18K) miles replacement engine complete with turbo. Although it had only done 18K miles I decided to renew the top timing chain and tensioners.
Its all back together now and running but what a load of work. No wonder few people want to work on them and I used to think that the old original Minis were bad to work on but these new ones are another dimension

I've also renewed all four discs and pads that was straight forward enough.
Not sure about the condition of the daft tyre pressure monitors as I've not yet run the car.

One job I still need to do is replace the soft foam type sunroof perimeter seal and I was wondering if anyone here on the forum had done this ? Any advice on the job would be greatly appreciated. As far as I know the roof does not leak its just the outer foam that's been pecked at in places by crows the blighters, 12 bore now at the ready
