So we’ve all played the game of what cars would you buy if you won the lottery or picked your top 5 from a certain year etc but after reading an article in Evo I’ve a new version for us to play.

You need to pick a car that was LAUNCHED from the following years, it’s harder than you think.

First car - from the year you where born
Second car - the year you passed your test
Third car - this present year

    I’m still picking, it’s hard

    What’s yours?
Live each day like it's your last....because one day it will be!

    Ohh good game

First car would be a 956 (1989), Second would be a GTR (2007) and third will be M2 CS, developed a bit of a soft sport for the CS(2020)

Updated as I’ve already got the GP

Great take on a classic game.

    Here's my selections:

    Year: 1989
    Choice: Honda NSX

The original NSX was launched at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show (although it technically didn't go on sale until 1990). Close runners up for me though were the BMW 8-series (also revealed in 1989 at the Frankfurt Auto Show) and the FC-generation Mazda RX-7 (which received a new trim level in 1989 in the form of the GTU, although the GTU wouldn't be my FC of choice).

    Year: 2007
    Choice: Nissan R35 GT-R

I'm with you on this one William! I don't think there was a more eagerly awaited car that launched that year and the GT-R really did live up to the hype and reputation. In my opinion the R35 will always be the definitive sports car of that era.

    Year: 2020
    Choice: Gordon Murray Automotive T50
(Back up choice: Chevrolet C8 Corvette)

Since I've already got one I'm eliminating the GP from my list of candidates. I've also gone for a back up choice in case the GMA T50 doesn't launch within the specified year. The T50 is shaping up to be very special indeed and I'd love to have a go in one to see if it really lives up the to the hype and effort. My back choice is the C8 Corvette as it's another car that's launched this year which I absolutely love. I perhaps shouldn't admit it but I do love a Corvette and the C8 just looks brilliant. There might be something wrong with me but there's also something about it that reminds me of the original NSX.
F56 GP with some JCW Pro goodies.

    Car 1 - 1996 - Year of my birth

Nissan S14a 200sx, always thought it would be cool to own a car the same age as me and the s14 would be my perfect project car for that reason.

    Car 2 - 2013 - Year I passed my test

McLaren P1, really doesn't need an explanation.

    Car 3 - 2020 - Year of the Covid

Porsche 718 Spyder, always been a fan of the Spyder Porsches and the 718 is the best one yet imo the lines on it are absolutely gorgeous and it finally got a properly meaty engine.
