I'd leave it until late next week to see where we all are news wise. Unfortunatley who knows what's round the corner

I'd say make a call on it next friday, the only part I can see being an issue is the lunch stop, we could solve this by everybody bringing a lunch with them and either eating in the cars or finding a picnic spot if the weather is decent.
I'm on the fence if I'm being honest.
On one hand there's a clear move away from any social and non-critical excursions at the moment, which would direct me in favour of postponing the event. As a family we've also been self-isolating to protect the more vulnerable members of our family - so that also leans us (personally) towards postponing things.
Some folks may also be feeling the strain if their working hours are coming under fire because of the lockdown. And given that some folks are being sent home from work, it may seem amiss if we're then going ahead with an event that's purely social.
On the other hand, the argument could be made that the run's relatively low risk and that it would certainly give a nice opportunity to get out the house and get a change of scenery - something which could be quite valuable just now to some people.
If folks are happy to keep relatively separate and remain within the confines of their cars, then the three main areas of potential contamination that I can think of are:
1. Filling the cars up with fuel.
2. The lunch stop.
3. In the unlikely event of anything going wrong, the potential requirement of emergency/ rescue services (which are already under strain).
If the run goes ahead then the lunch stop is worth thinking about - Andrew's suggestion of a packed lunch isn't a bad shout. We can mitigate the risk of any incidents by driving even more carefully than usual. Other than that I don't see any real risk as folks will be in their own cars for the duration of the run.
As I say though, I'm personally on the fence for now.

I think in light of recent government guidelines I’ll be postponing the run until a later date just to be on the safe side as I would hate for some to become ill due to catching it at the run

Totally agree. Even putting the obvious ‘non-essential’ travel and health risks aside, how would it look having a group of Minis out on a ‘Jolly’ while folks are confined to their homes, losing jobs and lets face it, dying...? NOT a good image for the club. I think cancelling was the only viable option. Stay safe everybody, wash your hands and cross your fingers.
