Picking up a 2013 Paceman tomorrow morning.
Its the 2.0 diesel Cooper S one .............so I know from previous Mini S' I had its exhaust wont be popping and crackling........something I was addicted to before.

How can I get it to be like the prev ones?

Simple answer...you won’t . Diesel engines are CI ,petrol are ignited by a spark .
The cars in front are New MINI Scotland

As Brian's said you won't get any pops and crackles on a diesel, but you might get some decent turbo noise with an aftermarket air intake. I think that's the best you'll be able to do I'm afraid.

To be honest I'm not sure - I don't have any experience with the Diesel engine.

If you want a little preview though then you could lift the lid on the factory air box and give it a quick rev. You'll likely hear a good bit more of the turbo.
