R53 - 17" x 7.5" ET35 with 215/45/17 Tyres rubbing?

    Evening all,

I have a set of Michelin PS4 215/45/17 tyres on standard bullet 17" wheels. I'm looking to upgrade the brakes on my car to the Brembo JCW brakes from the R56. I understand that bullets don't have enough clearance for these brakes so i'm looking to switch the tyres i have onto my winter wheels that i know will clear them. The issue is, I'm concerned that when the 215/45/17 tyres on the 17" x 7.5" ET35 wheels are fitted, they will rub since my car is sitting on eibach lowering springs. Has anyone got any experience with this? I know that i could fit spacers so the bullets will clear, but then they could rub with the 215 tyres fitted. I'll put my 205/45/17 winter tyres on the bullets and fit spacers in the winter as they shouldn't rub.

    Any advice is welcome.

I'm not sure how different the regular Bullets are to the Black Bullets but I was able to fit the latter to my R56 JCW without any alteration and without issue.

Fantastic! If they are the same fitment then you may have just saved me a load of hassle. Can anyone confirm if they are the same?

Bullets are a wheel that clears the R56 JCW brakes so your in luck. Doesn’t matter on the colour the fitment is the same.
