Most large car shows are organised just to make money. Deep down they have no interest in smaller car clubs, clubs they don’t know or the people that are part of them. The only shows that I’ve ever been to that seem to have any interest in the cars, and especially the clubs taking part, were BMS and MMM.
It’s like the runs and shows that MINI Bitz organise. The amount of cars that turn up is way more important than the quality of the cars and the people/clubs that attend.
I personally much prefer a small, well organised event that is planned with the attending clubs and people at the forefront and has plenty of event staff that you can talk to rather than the larger events where people are just left to their own devices.
