    Yeah, I think I'll just wait until my warranty is up, just for peace of mind. I'll keep the engine mods to next year then! Thanks for all of the advice :)

    From our experience with past cars getting insurance for the mods is relatively easy. Admiral insurance charged us 9 to add a remap for a previous car. I know insurance prices vary from company to company and from quote to quote but we've never had an issue getting any of our modifications on past vehicles insured.

    For me the warranty remains the primary concern. Manufacturer's have really clamped down in recent years due to the increase in popularity of remaps, partly because it simply costs the manufacturer and partly because most manufacturers now offer their own in-house performance enhancements that they want you to buy.
