I'm looking to buy new summer wheels for my F55 Cooper S and I think I'm going to go with Team Dynamics pro race 1.2 but what would be the best fitment?

    18x8 et45
    Or
    17x7.5 et45

If I went with 17x7.5 I was probably going to run with 225/45/r17 Uniroyal rainsports

With the 18x8s I would probably go with 215/40/r18 Uniroyals.

My only worry is with the 18x8s will there be enough clearance between the arch and struts? I also have coilovers going on soon so I do want to lower it as well.

I just think 18s look better on the F55 due to the longer wheelbase

Ok so I've gone with 17x7 et38 TD pro race 1.2 in Matt black wrapped in Eagle F1s 225/45r17

According to Goodyear's specs, those tyres are approved for a 7j rim.

4-5 weeks for the alloys to be delivered.

Can't wait summer is going to be awesome!!

Think you’ve done the best thing. With coilovers and an 8j wheel you would more than likely run into rubbing issues

Looks like a sensible option. Sometimes that’s better than trying to fight to get exactly what you want. It’s usually cheaper too lol

You only need two tools in life WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should use WD40 and if it moves and shouldn't use Duct Tape.

Haha yeah. I ordered them from demon tweaks so let's hope they arrive in 4-5 weeks and not months .

225/45r17 is so cheap! I got Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetricals for £67 per tyre!

Camskill.co.uk is definitely the cheapest tyre supplied by far and usually next day delivery. Highly recommend them.
