Has anyone overcome an issue getting connected via their VIN to the mini connected app on their phone?

Think it's because it's not an LCI with remote services, mine does the same.

Think you’ll need to use the older MINI Connected app as you wont have remote services

The are 3 various versions of the MINI Connected app.
It took me a while to work out that I could only use the MINI Connected Classic app and not the MINI Connected or MINI Connected XL Journey Mate apps.

It seems that only the mini connected app is supported, mini connected XL and classic are not now according the App Store !

Yeah, it now looks like MINI have binned off the other two.

With mine I just plug it in and use the Amazon Music app on it so that I can change tracks, albums & artists by using the media joystick.
The other apps are OK but nothing that I couldn’t live without.

Ah I see, good to know, I have Apple car play so have just been using that, I’ll mess around with the app at some point
Won’t get out to tackle the Pro splitters today with this weather
