My biggest fear confirmed. They aren't changing the chassis. I'll be very surprised if they can get a range over 100miles. And it means the car is going to have a very small boot since I imagine most of the battery cells will be in the boot/fuel tank are could also mean for a back heavy car.

Well it's along the lines of what most of us were expecting in terms of BMW not pushing the boat out too far.

Personally I had been hoping that BMW would step up the game from the i3, not set it as the benchmark and sit back.

That having been said, it'll be interesting to see how well it does. I've always felt the i3 was a little too quirky and very much for the "eco-friendly" person. I personally wasn't a fan of the recycled materials dash and the weird seats. The MINI E however would still have that MINI appeal but with all the electrical gubbins underneath. I reckon that might just be enough for some people.

Of course the really important thing will be the price...

I’m really quite excited about the MINI E. I’ve always been a fan of the i3 even more so after driving one at an M day. Hopefully the car is reasonably priced and still delivers that MINI feeling

I quite like the design of it in those pics.
Itís got enough tweeks to differentiate it from a ďnormalĒ MINI but itís so obviously a MINI from which ever angle you look at it from.
Itíd have to have a bloody good battery on it for me to do a day return trip to a meet or run though.

Am I missing something as I’m only seeing pics of the concept? Has there been Moreno pics released?
