    With the cold weather approaching last year the petrol cap on my cooper s kept freezing solid and would not open any tips thanks

    Could try a thin smear of Vaseline on the rubber seal. Also try filling the void behind the flap with some sort of insulation.
    Never had the issue myself, but can imagine it would be annoying.

    It seems to be the locking pin that freezes when it's really frosty
