    Hi all

    Intro.

Bought a 2002 Cooper Auto a few weeks ago with a "No drive" fault. Suspect CVT fault for a couple of hundred.
Took a chance I'd be able to get a box, and ended buying a tatty 2003 Cooper Auto with an engine fault to get the box. Also for a couple of hundred.

Much fun to be had shortly.

I'll shortly have a rolling chassis 2003 for sale that needs an engine and box.

Has a decent blue and black part leather interior, and loads of decent panels.
Someone has put Cooper S parts on it, so they'll be going as well.

Sounds like you’ve got your hands full that’s for sure ...
a wee tempter for someone especially just needing a box and engine.

You only need two tools in life WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should use WD40 and if it moves and shouldn't use Duct Tape.

That's it. Token amount takes it away in a few weeks time.

And it's still MOTd till April. Covered 100k.

    It needs.

Engine and box. Engine sounds OK but was overheated and is lumpy at idle when cold. (No coolant in the oil)
    Off side sill cover.
    Paint offside A panel
Very small ding in the bonnet.
Correct bumper to fit to front (Cooper S bumper cover fitted)
Scrape on driver's door above sill.
3 tyres. 3 of 4 are badly cracked, one is new. Cooper S 16" wheels fitted I think but have been kerbed.

Might break it if people are keen.

Feel free to copy to another section if more appropriate.

I will be looking for some interior bits soon ie handbrake cover, gear lever cover, drivers door trim (if they're the right colour) if you do go down the "breaking" route

Like I said. If it worth my while.

The intention is to save the red one which is in nice condition. But someone may want to save the blue one.

If not, I'll sell the bits off it.

Happy to make a donation to the forum if anything sells.

And you're not too far away either. The door cards on the blue mini are tatty but could be refurbed. Not looked at the handbrake or gear lever.
