R53 Gearbox

    Hey peeps, im looking to see if anyone has a manual gearbox for a R53. The gearbox was replaced last year however it has give up.

    Can anyone help please.

    No way Craig what’s the issue with it ?

    You only need two tools in life WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should use WD40 and if it moves and shouldn't use Duct Tape.

    Knocking and I thought it was the release bearing however when car is running its very noisy, put clutch in noise goes, plus gears are becoming more difficult.

    Plus I need to get a steering rack. Steering is knocking and its leaking.

    Could be the cables that go to the gearbox under the airbox getting stiff and just needing lubricated. That’s a common fault ...
    can’t be the release bearing that’s not long been done ...

    The clutch is juddering, gearbox is very
    Noisy.
