Noticed this after the recent freezing cold temp. Went to car in morning, opened door as usual but window had been a bit frozen so felt like it stuck a little before dropping to open the door. On way to work, heard this weird noise which was like a squeak/rattle coming from what I assumed was the window/ door card. Really annoying!
Got to work and opened door, noticed the window didn't automatically drop down before door opened. Same when closing door, window didn't go up like it usually does.

Theres still a slight noise from the motor like its trying to put the window up, but its very faint. Window seems to be kinda down a bit when door closed (well it doesn't move at all when opening/closing door) as can hear more outside noise since this happened. The window does still work as in how's up/ down using the switch on the dash.

Pass side window still drops/goes back as it should. Is there a way reset the window or is something gubbed?

I think if you disconnect the battery it will reset the window positions, worth a try at least

Feet were made to fit car pedals. If we were meant to walk, we'd have pogo sticks for legs

I had a lot of issues with my windows a few months ago they needed reset. Only way to do it is to have you it plugged into a proper diagnostic tool and reset the windows so they learn the tops and bottoms again. You could potentially need a motor as well I was lucky and didn't but got a motor under warranty anyway

Thanks guys. Might try disconnecting the battery, although a bit worried I might need codes for the radio when reconnected?

I've never had to insert a radio code and the code seems a bit unnecessary. You would need a fairly persistent thief to steal an r56 stereo
