    Need some recommendation's for engine oil for our new (to us) R53 S
    The cars in front are New MINI Scotland

    I use Castrol Edge 0w/30 fully synthetic. You can also use 5w/30

    I switched to 5w-40, as with 80k on the engine it was burning a bit of 5w-30. No issues with the higher grade.

    Also use castrol, having tried a few brands over the years

    Higher mileage I would go with 5W-40. Heaps of choice, Motul specific LL-04 is good and cheap enough, Fuchs Titan Race Pro S is another good one. If your feeling flush Motul 300V Power
