I keep opening the boot by accident, often finding that I start driving away with it ajar and the interior light on as result. It's a minor thing, but irksome - and I don't use the boot particularly often and would prefer to open it manually at the back of the car.

Is there a way to stop this happening; might it perhaps be as simple as pulling a fuse?

    Cheers!

We have been having problems with the convertible boot opening on its own accord. It's currently in PV for the third time to get a another new boot catch fitted. Are you sure "you" are the cause of the problem? And not the boot catch?
