    Stupid question #8352.

I'm having a full set of brake pads fitted shortly but can not remember if I need a front, rear or a pair of brake sensors fitted as well !!!

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you kindly.

I'm not 100% sure of the GP but I know on the other Mini's I've had, as long as the sensor hasn't been worn down so that it trips the system and tells you of the warning, there is no need to replace the sensor. Only if it has actually been used to notify you if that makes sense?

Someone official will be along shortly to tell you for sure :)

That seems to make sense to a mechanically uneducated soul like myself.

As above. A new sensor should only be needed if its been used

Pete you'll need 2 ... One comes from the front near side and the other from the rear off side. They usually snap when they're being changed so you're better getting them changed IMO. I've tried to salvage them in the past but without success ...
You only need two tools in life WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should use WD40 and if it moves and shouldn't use Duct Tape.
