    Interesting especially given the fact that BMW and MINI recommend V Power too :(
    You only need two tools in life WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should use WD40 and if it moves and shouldn't use Duct Tape.

    used to be good when you opened the boot and a litre bottle of oil in there ,great for running in if needed

    This suggests that MINI's recommendation had nothing to do with the quality and durability of the Castrol synthetic, and has everything to do with the fact Shell have come in with a blistering offer and that's now MINI's oil of choice. Purely a financial issue and nothing to do with engine care or longevity.

    Me... cynical? Nooooooo.

    Interesting Portillo we will get some nice MINI/ Shell branded goodies. Castro has been BMWs oil of choice for years

    As Andy says, nothing more than a contract thing. You should just stick to the oil you're happy with anyway, I've tried a few different brands over the years

    Does anyone know where I can buy an intercooler cover for 1499 with the word "Shell" embossed on it ??
