Checked and Cooper S has 307mm disc size on the front and Coop has 294 so 13mm diff which may cause an issue with wheels fitting, but I've never put 16's on an S CM... :)

Only early SD models have Cooper S 294mm diameter discs (I am told) whereas all recent SDs come with just Cooper 280mm diameter discs. A daft piece of cost cutting as the SD, with plenty of torque and not much engine braking, definitely needs better brakes than those. However at least it is dead easy to convert an SD to 294mm discs using OEM parts. It's not particularly cheap, though if new pads and discs are needed, the extra cost is small.

    316mm discs are from a JCW - I've never heard of 307mm.

I'm sure they will fit once you have cleaned the bore out. There really is no difference between the cars.
Got it sorted thanks with a bit if help from Mr King - just needed a bit more force!

Have put grease (can't remember its proper name) between wheel so hope this also helps with getting them off come spring.
