hmm but define nicer. I feel like I don't have good grip. And I don't like it.
Do you mean smoother when you say nicer?

You're quite right! I find the 16s are less disturbed by bumps, kickback less through the steering and don't thump on sharp bumps/ridges. So they provide a 'purer' drive (almost as meaningless a word as 'nicer'?), at the expense of grip. Which is more important is a personal decision based on each individual's driving habits.

My (subjective) observation is that the vast majority of drivers never get anywhere near the limits of cornering grip (except maybe unintentionally) and maybe not traction either, so they would probably prefer the 16s. But that's just on behaviour/performance, which is what matters to me. However I think lots of folk really care only about appearance and that's a fairly easy choice, since anyone can see what 15/16/17s look like.

The one tyre I haven't tried is a 205/50-16 which might well be the perfect sweet spot.

will 16 x 8's fit on a mini or will that be too wide ??

the reason im asking is because the 16 x 7's and the 17 x 7.5's are out of stock and rota uk don't know when they will be back in stock rimstyle Would the 16x8.0 RB be of interest for you? This also works well on the Mini?

    What offset?

Feet were made to fit car pedals. If we were meant to walk, we'd have pogo sticks for legs
