Interestingly, I notice that the original 2000 press pack for the R50 came from Rover's pr dept, not BMW or MINI's

Not going to be a big seller, and the prices seem very cheap, but i guess it's a stripped down version of a clubbie, so it can be cheaper!
I think it will sell well, it's the ideal advertising vehicle (if you'll pardon the pun) for florists and other small businesses that only need a van for local deliveries of small items

Agreed, but I think we're veering slightly Stewart.
    Another discussion for another thread.

If I was feeling flush, I'd have a Van in Pepper White with my Crown Spokes and some funky signwriting in Black. There's a surprise then... doh!!!!

I think there was a fair bit of Rover involvement in the early stages - I used to know this stuff, but my brain has developed MINi timing chain rattle over the years... oh I've gone again.

The R50 was a Rover design, that's why MINIs have the R** model codes...

Ahhh, so I'm not entirely senile yet then! I have loads of info/books etc etc on this very topic, but haven't read/thought about them for a while - obviously...

Well out of all the many mini variants that have been launched lately or have been shown in concept this is the only one that I really really want.
Trying to think of a reason to buy a van.
Could go self employed and then get a van and get the vat back
