Has anyone had the same problem?
On my 53plate R53, the door locks have stopped unlocking, was originally passenger door now having the same problem occasionally with drivers door. It doesn't unlock with the dash button or when you unlock it manually with the inside handle. To open the door you need to hit the outside door handle or hit around the reflector inside the door. If the doors have not been locked there is no problem opening the doors. I recently replaced the passenger door latch/lock mechanism to cure the problem and worked for around a month then the problem came back. Could this be a faulty lock mechanism again or another problem.

    Cheers

Got the problem fixed, incase anyone has the same issue,o it was the outside door handle worn, which never released fully and not allowing the latch mechanism to unlock.

The part itself is only about £20-£30 if you were to fit it yourself should be quite straight forward.
